Christmas is right around the corner....

http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/gift-novelty/nothing-for-the-person-who-has-everything/30000870.html

Of course at $10.69 it seems a little pricey. I could do the same with an empty paper bag with the below writing on it for much cheaper.

Nova Scotia Tree Lighting in Boston

Family learned of this tradition on an NE Coast cruise out of Boston: Excerpt from Kings County News Article

"We are honored to be able to donate our tree as a gift for the people of Boston on behalf of all Nova Scotians," said Andrea MacEachern. "We can't believe our tree will take centre stage at this special celebration." The gift of a tree is a thank you to the people of Boston for the support and aid Boston provided after the Halifax Explosion on Dec. 6, 1917. "We have a strong relationship with Boston, one that we respect and want to foster," said Premier Stephen McNeil in a news release today. "We will never forget the kindness Bostonians showed us in a time of need and that's why we are happy to continue this tradition."

Proud to be Florida Gators.
Must of been some tough meat in that sandwich for the gator to chew so long.

Sex Panther made from Brick Cheese?

Traveled to WI recently to do a little work on the farm and transport Mom & Dad to Milwaukee for their flight to Florida. Dad gave me a few food items that needed to be eaten as they would not last the winter. Some venison bratwurst, venison beef jerky, smoked string cheese and BRICK CHEESE. This batch of Brick cheese is a little more odoriferous than I remember and the three comments on what the smell of Sex Panther is could be easily said about this Brick cheese.

Below is the non-OSHA approved pruning of the fruit trees. I'm holding a gas powered polesaw chainsaw which gets kinda lost in the branches in the picture. I think it had about a 10' reach to it.

The Pyramids aren't hollow are they????

I have always been under the impression that the Egyptian Pyramids were solid except for a few burial chambers. If they were stores of grain as Ben Carson believes they would need to be hollow, right? I think Mr Carson might be thinking the Luxor in Vegas is an exact replica of the Great Pyramid. And he wants to be President. I guess it takes all kinds.

RNC takes their ball and goes home...

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/rnc-suspends-partnership-with-nbc-for-february-debate/ar-BBmCXkr?li=AAa0dzB

....In full disclosure I didn't watch but a few minutes of the debate as I was out in the garage most of the evening working on carving my Trump pumpkin so I can't really say for sure if the moderators did a good or bad job. But from what I did see the questioning seemed to ask questions about the issues and the Republican candidates could not piece together coherent answers that the moderators couldn't pick apart easily. One of the times I was inside and they were questioning Ben Carson on his flat tax and the answers Ben Carson were giving did not add up and they called him on it and he could not explain how it worked. It seems that the Republican candidates can't deal with anyone questioning them about anything. If you are going to run the country let's hear how your ideas will be paid for and accomplished.

Oh and if you're wondering about the Trump pumpkin, I carve my pumpkin each year depending on what scares me the most that year and a Donald Trump presidency topped the list this year.

Marty McFly Arrives Today....

...yes today is October 21, 2015 the day that Marty McFly arrives in the future with Doc Brown in the Delorean in the movie Back To The Future II. The trilogy of the Back to the Future are some of those movies I just like watching even though I have seen them several times each.

Gotta get me a pair of those Doc Brown glasses. It is 2015 so they should be widely available right?

I do not marry gays...it is against my religion.....ha ha ha ha ha.

At about the 1:07 mark

Couldn't help but think of Eddie Murphy's character in Trading Places on the train when Kim Davis was held in contempt of court for her refusal to give out marriage licenses to gay couples.

I'm all for standing by your principles but if your job is causing you to violate your principles YOU LEAVE THE JOB and find another. The wedding cake makers are in the same situation. Your business is not you, your business has no beliefs, it doesn't have a soul its only function is to provide an income stream to you. You cannot discriminate against anyone, period. If you don't want to make a cake for the gays then get out of the cake business and go work for Chick-Fil-A.

The crowd funded wall to keep the Burners out of San Francisco

Every year Burning Man takes place at this time of the year in the Nevada desert north of Reno. You can watch it on a live feed at:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi8_CLY3fAo

The people left behind in San Francisco love this week of the year as they don't have to deal with all the burners so now someone has made a crowd funded project to keep the burners out once they leave. Pretty funny. Go take a look and see how much money has been pledged. Yes that is 7.3 billion dollars.

http://megagogo.co/

Look at the different levels of support and what you get. Also go all the way down to the bottom to see other projects.
