Mister 300

I hit 300 lbs on the scale this morning. That's 117 lbs so far in 5 months. This gastric bypass surgery is quite the weight loss plan. I also had my yearly health evaluation with the BCBS people and I'm at a 88 on their health meter up from a 56 two years ago. Yeeaaahhhhh me! I need new pants though as the old ones are getting hard to put on as they fall down as I try to weave the belt through the loops and then the bunching on the sides is getting a little much.

Is this a good idea?

Read an article that a blind archer set a record at the Olympics. That's wonderful, but is it a good idea to have a blind guy with a bow and arrow?

Starting to wonder....

.. if the new addition to my household was abandoned by it's mother because he was an asshole.

Tigger in Hotel Room in Omaha(illegally)

Tigger in transporter on the way back from the Farm

Tigger the kitten has a habit of climbing to the top perch of my four perch cat tree and jumping on me while I sleep, kinda like a top rope move in the old WWF. He also has taken a liking to my bi-pap machine both the machine and the hose. He has put lots of holes in the hose with his teeth and turns the machine off during the night when he walks on it which wakes me up as I no longer have air being force up my nose to combat my sleep apnea.

Other annoying habits are his attacking my arms and hands leaving me with scratches up and down my arms, attacking my feet as I sleep and his lack of movement when I roll over in bed. He sleeps tight against either my back or my head and when I roll over he doesn't move and then bitches that I rolled over on him.

I understand if his mother abandoned him as I have had the same thoughts.....

E.D. Rocks!! No, the other E.D. Eminent Domain...

Matt Tabbi has an article in Rolling Stone Magazine about San Bernadino County's interesting plan to revitalize their community through eminent domain. This would be a painful process for the bond holders and banks but it would make them take the losses that already exist that they don't want to acknowledge at this time. These banks and bondholders will fight this tooth and nail but they need to realize they have already lost the money and they need to move on. This seems like a legitimate plan to get this country back on its feet.

The one thing that I keep hearing from those that I find knowledgeable is that all of this debt whether it is home mortgages, credit cards or a nation's debt is what is keeping the world from bouncing back after this deep recession. These knowledgeable people feel that the losses must be recognized before any semblance of a recovery can happen. Now the political powers that be don't want their buddies to suffer but someone has to bite the bullet and it might as well be the people that profited from this mess to begin with.

I say bring on Eminent Domain so we can press the reset button on our economy.

This is what happens when I don't post for awhile....

my one lone reader goes crazy and kills people. damnit!

I'm sorry Aurora, My Bad.

Seriously though, my condolences to the families of all the victims. I live about 10 miles SE from the theater where the shooting happened but I've never been to that theater as I rarely go out to movies anymore and if I do it's usually to the Movie Tavern (hint hint Consigliere). The local channels are devoting so much coverage to this that I can't even get the local weather forecast anymore.

You have to admit though that this dude don't look right in the head, of course it could just be the hair.
