Does this take away one miracle?

My understanding, which could be wrong, is that for a Pope to become sainted you have to have two miracles happen. Does this erase one of those miracles?

Getting crushed by that had to hurt.

Be careful who you pander too......

This dust up in Nevada over the Bundy cows, did someone say Peggy Bundy?, has caused Fox News and several Republican Congressmen to rally to his side but now Mr Bundy has gone and opened his mouth about slavery. What a moron and now Fox News and the Republicans are trying to get away from this guy as fast as they can. I guess it just kinda shows that you really need to pick who you defend with a little bit of care. The first red flag to me would be that he was not paying to feed his livestock,  thusly enjoying additional profits when he sold the beef. Someone that can justify to themselves that he doesn't owe for food that is not his can justify a lot of wrong behavior.

We must Ban Spuds

Some idiot tried to rob an convenience store and a dry cleaners with a potato. Yes....a potato

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/man-attempts-two-robberies-wielding-potato-n87761

The video has the store owners voicing concern over the incident that it will make people not want to come to their store. I think they might be as whacked out as the robber. I'm sorry but if someone tried to rob me with a potato I think I would start laughing. I suppose it could be used as a blunt object like a rock but it is not nearly as hard a rock. I think if you grabbed a grater or a peeler or maybe a Veg-O-Matic you could easily defend yourself.

Corporations aren't just for breakfast anymore....

 Go take a read

http://news.msn.com/us/brand-names-in-ny-standardized-tests-vex-parents

Nobody can deny that corporations are invading almost all aspects of our life. With the Citizens United ruling allowing them to have "free speech" in commercials to sway voters, to sports teams with advertising on their jerseys, to menus in restaurants that have cross promotional advertisements for ingredients in the food, to product placements in movies and the list goes on. But now it seems companies have invaded the COMMON CORE curriculum testing in New York. Everyone denies that money exchanged hands but something smells here and its not the smell of hot fresh crescent rolls from the oven.
As a convenient out, the school board says that they did not alter test questions that were provided by Pearson the test publisher. What it doesn't say is who provided the test questions to Pearson. Whose to say that the questions did not come directly from the companies with the products in the questions. No money exchanged hands in that transaction but I bet the New York public education system got something somewhere from these companies. It was probably some corporate out reach that got good publicity for the corporations as they did this great thing for the school system with no expectation of benefiting from it except for goodwill from the public. We've all heard it before, there is no free lunch.
The last line in the article pretty much sums up the corporations thinking:

"Brands are part of our lives," said Allen Adamson, managing director of the New York brand consulting firm Landor Associates. "To say they don't belong in academia is unrealistic."

Mr. Adamson you say they belong, well I say to you Mr. Adamson, "Brands don't belong in academia you horse's ass". I think America has offically jumped the shark.
