Nancy Playing the Long Game?

So Nancy Pelosi is not ready to send the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate for a trial. This might be the best move yet in this impeachment process. I feel they need to get ruling(s) from courts, even the Supreme Court as to the obstruction that Trump has done to impede the Congress from doing what the Constitution entitles them to do which is oversight of the President. Now the Supreme Court might rule against these charges but I have to figure that these judges are usually focused on preserving the Constitution and the Constitution is very clear on who has what powers in the three branches of government.

Maybe Pelosi might also be looking to sit on the charges until after the elections. First it frees up the Congresspeople that are running for President from having to lose time on the trail as they are required to be at the trial. Second she can wait to see if the Senate flips giving the Democrats the floor to run the trial on their terms or maybe Trump gets voted out of office.

Lastly with this move it will just irritate Trump to no end. He wants to be found innocent. If there is no trial for a while it will get under his skin and possibly cause him to something else unconstitutional as he is not right in his head when he doesn't get his way. He will always be impeached with no trial to exonerate him and that might drive him over the edge.

Republicans make the Case Against Themselves

North Carolina Republicans, in making their case to the Supreme Court, which they won, that their gerrymandered districts were not racially motivated but instead were intentionally politically motivated unintentionally made a case against themselves as it turns out politically motivated maps violates the North Carolina Constitution as determined by North Carolina's Superior Court. Too smart for their own good it seems. Why not just not gerrymander to begin with. If you can't win except for by cheating then you don't deserve to govern at all. Colorado just passed a law that calls for 3 democrats, 3 republicans and 3 independents to come up with the next maps. Everyone has to give a little to get a little. It's called fairness.
