Happy Comments

Was reading an article online about happiness now vs. back in the hunter gatherer period and came across this comment:

"I don't think things have changed much.

In the stone age, management painted a picture on the wall of the cave of how the hunt was supposed to go(it is a little known fact that cave painting were the Neolithic version of PowerPoint).Basically Ug had to run in front of the mammoth to distract it while the rest sneaked up from behind and dispatched it.

After the mighty hunters had returned from the chase bearing only a rabbit, management would berate the rest of the tribe for their incompetence, while the rest grumbled about how they knew the plan wouldn't work right from the start. Except for Ug of course who was trampled underfoot by the enraged mammoth.

And management ate the rabbit.

But on the positive side, thanks to Ug's demise, the position of Senior VP of Mammoth Distraction is now open."

Or this upbeat one:

"Life is for the young. We live too long, now. Dying at the ripe old age of 35, after raising your kids, is what nature 'intended'. The problem is we now live long enough to realize that life is a pointless, meaningless crock of bullshit."

He wasn't too happy it seems
