End of the Broncos Season

Well, the season came to a close much sooner than anticipated. But with the revelation that Peyton Manning's injuries were more severe than reported it makes perfect sense why they played so poorly in the last couple of weeks of the season and why my fantasy team took such a beating during that time. What I don't understand is why was Peyton playing? I believe at the time of the injury the Broncos had almost locked up at least a wild card birth. Maybe we needed one more win and Brock Osweiler could have got us that against Oakland. I understand that you don't let out too much information on injuries because the opposing teams will focus in on that part of the body to inflict pain but if a player is not healthy you rest the player for when they are really needed i.e. the playoffs. I guess the bigger question here is will Manning return next year with a change in the coaching staff.

John Fox's departure was unexpected by me at least. I mean look at the game tape, 3 out of 4 years in the playoffs including 1 Super Bowl appearance, 46-18 record with the Broncos. But I guess he was brought on before Elway was named VP of Operations so just like Tebow, John Fox was not part of Elway's plan. I wish him the best of luck.

Oh well there is always next year..........
GO BRONCOS
